The austerity of Albesani seems to be clear just from the nose of this wine. It's almost sturdy at first, with notes of chalk, citrus, red berries and petrichor. The attack is velvety although refreshing, with high acidity and almost tart red fruits. It doesn't lack sucrosity but it's focused on elegance, and the austere finish will integrate with ageing, developing more complexity. An assertive wine worth following. Drinking window: 2021-2035. Score - 92. (Aldo Fiordelli, decanter.com, March 30, 2021)
