Another fine vintage for Cave Spring's flagship old vine riesling, from a vineyard planted in the late 1970s. This wine has grown more textural and layered over the years, with one factor being the transition to spontaneous fermentation, in addition to the ageing vines. Concentration and depth are excellent here; acids ripe-tart, balanced, and the palate comes across as essentially dry despite a pinch of residual sugar. Excellent length. Top notch in the category.
