Not immediately recognizable as a Ripasso, because there's zero dried-fruit character to the berries and cherries on the nose and palate. Oak adds a little spicy note, though. Medium-to full-bodied with a structured, linear feel to the palate. Not expansive, but firm and tight, precise and balanced. Good length, too. Nice to drink now, but should expand with bottle age. Score - 92. (jamessuckling.com, Oct. 22, 2021)
