Florals, spice, dark cherry, a touch of menthol, there's some really enticing gear happening here on the nose. The palate is fleshy, juicy and driven by sweet, dark, plummy fruit. The tannin is firm and grippy, but constructive and ensures the slurpy fruit character stands in line. There's a lovely spiciness and roundness in the wine and the acidity likewise is partnering with these firm tannins to ensure freshness and delicious drinkability. Drink date: 2021-2031. Ranked #1 of 29 in The Real Review's 2019 Grenache blends from Barossa Valley. Score - 95. (Aaron Brasher, therealreview.com, Feb. 23, 2021)
