Intriguing herb and spice notes lead the way in the 2017 Cotes du Roussillon les Aspres Grand Terroir, a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. It's a medium-bodied, balanced wine that avoids any excess heat or ripeness in favor of drinkability and complexity. Red raspberries and cherries provide the backdrop, framed by silky tannins and embellished with hints of cracked pepper, anise and rosemary. Drink date: 2019-2022. Score - 90.
