This wine sees nine months in mostly French and some American oak, but very little new oak is used, allowing the ripe fruit to shine through. There's a charming, lifted floral quality supported by rich blackberry, cassis, plum and vanilla tones. A perfect wine for barbecue fare or ripe cheeses.[The Sommelier Challenge International Wine & Spirits Competition did not include a tasting note.] Score - Gold. (sommelierchallenge.com, 2020)
