Winemaker Germán Lyon says warm years suit carmenere, a late-ripening variety that needs that heat to fully ripen and not turn too vegetal, a tendency of this variety. Here, however, there are herbal notes that accommodate the fruity layer of this red, a young carmenere where the presence of the oak is still evident, although it's very much in the background. Give it a couple of years, and then enjoy it with beef stew. Score - 93. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2022)
