I like the savoury and saline aspect of this Amarone from Scuola Grande, which serves to counterbalance the impression of sweetness on the palate, as does the pleasantly bitter tastes on the back end, like high-quality dark chocolate. I find it highly drinkable even at this relatively young stage, though no rush, of course. It should hold comfortably in the cellar into the early thirties. Length and depth are excellent, as is overall concentration. Tasted August 2022. Score - 92. (John Szabo, MS, winealign.com)
