Produced with grapes from Los Arbolitos within Los Chacayes, the new 2015 Aluvional Los Chacayes was harvested earlier and fermented in concrete with 30% to 50% full clusters with indigenous yeast. It aged in older oak and for a shorter amount of time. Oak and sweetness have disappeared completely from the Aluvional range, and the wines reflect the place a bit more - the direction in which they have been working, especially since 2013/2014. The 2015 vintage doesn't show any heat or ripeness, and the whole top range shows very good freshness and is very regular. Drink date: 2018-2025. Score - 94.
