Clocking 14.2 per cent alcohol, this full-bodied, estate-grown red tastes big, bold and beautiful. Classic aromas of cassis laced with dark chocolate leads to an eruption of black cherry and poached plum joy. Then, those fruit-driven flavours shift toward creamy cocoa and toasted almond notes before tapering to a cherry-cola and vanilla bean finish. This dry-tasting, velvety red with cascading complexity is seriously fun to drink, especially with a juicy burger or steak. Score - 92. (Carolyn Evans Hammond, Toronto Star, March 24, 2022)
