The 2019 Chardonnay Zingaretti Estate from Villa Bastías in the Uco Valley is the new incarnation of what was formerly Bramare Zingaretti. Fermented in barrels (23% new) with native yeasts, it was aged in the same vessels for 14 months. Golden yellow in color. The delightful, intense nose begins with oaky notes such as hazelnut and pastry before opening out into apple and ginger aromas with hints of herbs. Concentrated on the palate, the lively acidity and voluminous, slick feel keep things light and vigorous while at the back of the mouth it's complex and long-lasting with the fruit and oak aromas revived by the acidity. A well-made wine. Drinking window: 2021-2031. Score - 95. (Joaquín Hidalgo, vinous.com, June 2021)
