This is a solid estate, reliable and at times exciting. Wines of a traditional style, always striking an admirable pose of eminent drinkability. Camphor, strawberry, a hint of sassafras and just-detectible older wood. Avoids the mocha and excessive heaviness of so many Ripassos, reminding me of a riper pinot rather than a quasi Amarone. Delicious. Drink or hold. Score - 93. (Ned Goodwin, MW, jamessuckling.com, March 27, 2024)
