94% Zinfandel, 6% Petite Sirah aged 14 months in American (10% new) and French oak. The winery purchased a facility in Plymouth, CA, in the Sierra Foothills, giving them access to these 120-130-year-old Zinfandel vines, also where this wine is produced. On the palate, it is rich, full flavoured with a solid core of black cherry fruit and ripe, farmer's market strawberries laced with vanilla and clove spices. Deeply concentrated and nicely polished for the size of the production, which hits around 35,000 cases. Drinking window: 2024-2028. Score - 90. (Jonathan Cristaldi, decanter.com, Dec. 14, 2023)
