A cabernet from terraces in the Maipo Valley - classic soils for the variety in Chile consisting of sand and gravel from the Maipo River near Alto Jahuel in Alto Maipo. It was aged in barrels for 12 months, with 20% new oak, and the result is a cabernet very much from that valley, with herbal touches that gradually give way to earthy and fruity notes. The palate is full of fine tannins, with fresh and lively acidity as well as herbal tones combined with red and black fruits. [Drink till 2027+.] Score - 93.
